Kanjar: School watcher arrested for trying to molest a blind student in Idukki Rajesh, a native of Pothanikad, was arrested. It is alleged that the school authorities tried to cover up the incident.
The worst case scenario was in 2010. The girl was studying in 10th class at that time. Rajesh, a school watchman, grabbed the girl’s body on the bus and in the hostel. Recently, the girl revealed all these things to her friend. The friend informed the school authorities about the information.
But their attempt was to settle the case. He then lodged a complaint with the Federation of the Blind DGP, an organization for the visually impaired. Kanjar police arrested Rajesh on the instructions of the DGP.
The accused has been charged with attempted torture and various poxo offenses. He was later produced in court and remanded. Kanjar police said they have launched an investigation against the school authorities for allegedly trying to cover up the incident.
