The Russian Emergencies Ministry announced the stabilization of the situation in Sochi, where houses were flooded and cars were damaged due to heavy rainfall. On July 5, due to a severe storm at sea, all the beaches in the city were closed.

“At the moment, the situation in Sochi has stabilized,” the agency said in Telegram. “The situation is under the special control of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Krasnodar Territory.”

There are no casualties or injuries during flooding in the Tuapse region, a source in the emergency services told TASS. “According to preliminary data, there are no victims or injured, temporary stay points have been deployed, people are being evacuated there, and residents are temporarily accommodated with relatives,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

Due to precipitation in the Gelendzhik area, the M-4 “Don” highway was blocked. Earlier, in the Tuapse district of the Krasnodar Territory, on the 65th kilometer of the Dzhubga-Sochi highway, a mudflow of 40 m in length and 2 m in height descended. Traffic was blocked in both directions. Later, the mudflow descended in the Lazarevsky district of Sochi, and then – on the roadway on the A-149 Adler-Krasnaya Polyana highway.
