The Avtomatika Concern, part of Rostec, will supply 19,000 smart metal detectors to polling stations by the order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Avtomatika told Vedomosti. These devices will be used in the parliamentary elections on September 19, said a representative of the concern. The purchase price is 4.1 billion rubles, follows from the tender documentation published on the public procurement website.

“Until September 19, smart metal detectors are planned to be delivered to 10 regions, in particular to Moscow, Voronezh, Kaluga, Penza regions”, – said the representative of “Avtomatika”. In the amount of 70 such devices will be used in Moscow, according to the tender documentation. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is in charge of the distribution of the framework by regions, which consults with the Ministry of Internal Affairs on this issue, said a source close to the Central Election Commission: “Voting takes only three days, in the future the equipment can be used to ensure the safety of schools.”
