Intensive care patients are decreasing, which are 473 in total and four fewer than yesterday. The number of hospitalized patients with symptoms also decreased, 8,397 in total and 13 fewer than yesterday.
There have been 13,645,834 infected with Covid-19 in Italy since the beginning of the emergency, while the victims rise to 157,442. There are 12,400,175 healed, 48,190 in the last 24 hours. To date, the Coronavirus positives in our country are 1,088,217.

LOMBARDY – There are 8,670 new coronavirus infections registered in Lombardy today, March 17, according to the bulletin with the Region’s Covid data. 23 deaths leading to 39 thousand victims since the beginning of the pandemic. The swabs are 78,288, with a test / positive ratio of 11%. Intensive care admissions decreased: 58 (-13) while those in ordinary wards increased: 844 (+35). In the province of Milan there are 2,987 new positives recorded in the last 24 hours, of which 1,431 in the city of Milan. As for the other provinces of Lombardy, there are 558 new cases in Bergamo, in Brescia 985, in Como 640, in Cremona 275, in Lecco 299, in Lodi 131, in Mantua 374, in Monza 702, in Pavia 407, in Sondrio 97 and in Varese: 793.
VENETO – There are 6,829 new covid infections in Veneto, according to the data and numbers of the bulletin of today, March 17. There are also another 5 deaths. The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 1,402,097, while the currently positive ones are 60,667. The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has exceeded 14 thousand (14,015). Yesterday 2,397 doses of the vaccine were administered.
SARDINIA – There are 2,411 new infections from Coronavirus today, March 17, 2022 in Sardinia, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday there have been 5 deaths on the island. In the last 24 hours a total of 12,578 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic. The patients admitted to the intensive care units are 19, the same number as yesterday, while those admitted to the medical area are 337, 3 more since yesterday. In isolation at home 26,540 people.
LAZIO – There are 9,504 new infections from Coronavirus today, March 17, 2022 in Lazio, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been 8 deaths since yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 10,944 molecular swabs and 46,626 antigenic swabs were processed with a positivity rate of 16.5%. 8,312 people have been healed since yesterday. The cases in Rome city are at 4,329.
In particular, in the ASL Roma 1 there are 1,515 new cases and 2 deaths in the last 24 hours. In the ASL Roma 2 there are 1,645 new cases and 1 death. In the ASL Roma 3 there are 1,169 new cases and 1 death. In the ASL Roma 4 there are 481 new cases and 1 death. In the ASL Roma 5 there are 740 new cases and 1 death. CAMPANIA – There are 8,370 new infections from Coronavirus today, March 17, 2022 in Campania, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday, 7 deaths have been recorded, of which 3 from the previous days. In the last 24 hours, 43,666 tests were processed, including molecular and antigenic. In Campania there are 41 Covid patients hospitalized in intensive care, 3 more than yesterday, 563 Covid patients hospitalized in hospital wards, 11 fewer than the figure released yesterday.
SICILY – There are 6,230 new coronavirus infections today 17 March 2022 in Sicily, according to data and numbers from the latest Covid-19 bulletin of the Ministry of Health. There are another 18 deaths. 4,460 patients recovered. There are 231,815 positives on the island – 4,237 more than yesterday – and of these 874 are hospitalized in the ordinary regime, 65 in intensive care, with 7 new entries, and 230,876 are in home isolation. The province with the most cases is Messina, with 2,127, followed by Palermo (1,512) and Catania (966).
EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 3,738 new covid infections in Emilia Romagna according to today’s bulletin, March 17. There are also another 14 deaths. Since the start of the Coronavirus epidemic, there have been 1,227,339 positive cases in the region. 24,633 the total of swabs performed in the last 24 hours, of which 12,924 molecular and 11,709 rapid antigen tests. Overall, the percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 15.2%. Meanwhile, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign continues. At 3 pm a total of 10,236,013 doses were administered; of the total 3,766,125 people over 12 who have completed the vaccination cycle, 93.7%. The third doses made are 2,706,420.
PUGLIA – There are 8,559 coronavirus infections in Puglia today, March 17, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 2 deaths. New cases were identified on 42,163 swabs. ABRUZZO – There are 2,208 new coronavirus infections registered today, March 17, in Abruzzo, bringing the total from the beginning of the emergency to 285,710. This was reported by the bulletin with the Covid data of the Region. 263 patients (-11 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in the medical area; 11 (-1 compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 34769 (+1628 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. The death toll of patients recorded 1 new case (it is a 76-year-old from the province of Teramo) and rises to 3036. In the last 24 hours, 3769 molecular swabs were performed (2123752 in total since the beginning of the emergency) and 11910 antigen tests (3101278). The positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigen tests of the day, is equal to 14.08%.
CALABRIA – There are 4,008 new infections from Coronavirus today, March 17, 2022 in Calabria, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday there have been 11 deaths for a total of 2,208 deaths in the Region since the beginning of the pandemic. In the last 24 hours, 13,756 swabs were processed, both molecular and antigenic. Since yesterday the healed have been 1,624. The bulletin also records 11 more hospitalizations for a total of 347 and, finally, 2 less intensive care units employed for a total of 14.
VALLE D’AOSTA – There are 76 new coronavirus infections today, March 17, 2022 in Valle d’Aosta, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been no deaths since yesterday. The total number of cases tested is equal to 129,605 while the swabs carried out to date are 477,373.
1,089 people in isolation at home, 16 hospitalized, one in intensive care. The total healed are 30,174, an increase of 13 units compared to yesterday’s survey. The deaths of people diagnosed with Covid 19 in Valle d’Aosta from the beginning of the epidemic to today are 522.
TUSCANY – There are 5,529 coronavirus infections in Tuscany today, March 17, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin anticipated by governor Eugenio Giani on Telegram. “The new cases registered in Tuscany are 5,529 out of 34,238 tests of which 7,835 molecular swabs and 26,403 rapid tests.
