The Minister of State for Women’s Affairs in the National Unity Government, and member of the Executive Council of the Arab Women’s Institution, Houria Tarmal, participated in the twenty-second regular meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab Women’s Organization, which was held in Cairo, Egypt, during the period from 27 to 28 November.
The meeting addressed the recommendations issued by: (the thirtieth and thirty-first meeting of the Council’s Bureau Committee – the twenty-second meeting of the Permanent Advisory Committee for Policies and Technical Affairs – the Permanent Committee for Administrative, Financial and Legal Affairs).
The meeting witnessed a discussion of a draft amendment to the organization’s establishment agreement,proposed by the Executive Council Office Committee. On the second day, corresponding to November 28, the final recommendations of the meeting’s work were presented.
Libya’s participation in this meeting confirms it’s membership and contributions to the organization, as well as an affirmation of its active role in promoting Arab women’s issues and supporting the efforts of the Arab Women’s Organization in achieving its development and humanitarian goals.
