The photo taken by actor Ambani Shankar with Ajith suddenly went viral. There was talk that this would be a photo taken during the shoot as he was in the look for ‘Ajith-61’ and actor Shankar had mentioned ‘with ji after ji’.
Shankar is known as one of Vadivelu’s comedy team. In the movie ‘Karuppasamy Leaseholder’ a boy falls in front of the bike that Sams is riding. Vadivelu Panchayat will keep it. That guy is this Shankar. After that ‘Ambani’ Sankaran from Karuna’s ‘Ambasamudram Ambani’. Since Vadivelu has not acted in cinema for the last several years, many in his comedy team have missed out. Then, it was Shankar who changed his route. He captured various comedy concepts and piled up scripts on YouTube under the name `Thirsty crow ‘and garnered likes. One of the short films produced by Sankara’s team has been screened at the Nigerian Film Festival.
Well let’s get to the point. I asked Shankar about the photo he took with Ajith.
“After the release of this film, I thought I would act in a film with him and congratulations started pouring in. Ajith sir I will act in the film. I had acted in the film ‘G’ with him. Then almost 18 years later I had the opportunity to meet him. I did not take this picture at a star hotel in Chennai. Sir the home function took place there. Just when I went to that hotel for another function, I met Sarah. When he saw me, he asked, “How are you, Shankar?” He spoke with the same affection.
