Time.news Editor: Thank you, Nezha, for joining us today. The recent ’female strides of victory’ event has garnered significant attention. Can you share some insights on the motivation behind this initiative?
nezha Bidouane: Thank you for having me. The inspiration for the ‘female strides of victory’ event comes from our commitment to encourage women and girls from all social strata to actively participate in sports. By creating such engaging events, we aim to foster a culture of sporting practice in Morocco, reinforce civic values, and ultimately empower women through fitness and community.
Time.news Editor: It’s impressive to see over 20,000 women participating in the first stage of the event. What factors do you think contributed to such a remarkable turnout?
Nezha Bidouane: The record turnout can be attributed to several factors. First, we focused on inclusivity and accessibility, inviting women and girls of diverse backgrounds and ages to participate. Secondly, our outreach efforts, including collaboration with local communities and organizations, have been vital. We saw tremendous excitement from participants eager to be part of a supportive and encouraging habitat.
Time.news Editor: Looking at the broader picture, how does this initiative align with the strategic goals of the FRMSPT?
Nezha Bidouane: The initiative is a crucial part of our 2023-2024 program, which aims to spread awareness of the importance of physical activity among all social strata. By organizing multiple stages across the kingdom—from Dakhla to Rabat—we hope to raise awareness about sports and its benefits, especially for women. This aligns with our mission to promote citizenship and the noble values of sports.
Time.news Editor: The event is organized under the aegis of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports. How has this collaboration influenced the outcomes of the event?
Nezha Bidouane: Collaborating with the Ministry has been incredibly beneficial. It lends us credibility and allows us to tap into their resources and networks. We have six exciting stages planned across various regions. each stage will not onyl focus on the race but also include activities that promote health and wellness, such as workshops and seminars. We are keen on making each event unique while ensuring they collectively contribute to our overarching goals.

It’s essential to embrace the journey rather than focus solely on the results. Participating can transform not just your physical health but also your social connections and confidence levels. Don’t hesitate to seek guidance from more experienced participants—sporting communities are often welcoming and eager to help newcomers.
