100 days of traffic light operation in a state of emergency – Germany

After the first 100 days, as the saying goes in politics, a balance is drawn up. Of course, this also applies to the German traffic light, the coalition of SPD, Greens and Liberals that has been in office since December 8th. Nevertheless, a domestic political assessment is almost impossible, and possibly inappropriate. Because like no other German government before, the traffic light is under the influence of a single event that does not even go back to it: Russia’s war against Ukraine. And this has shifted the paradigms in Germany in a way that three months ago one could not even begin to imagine.
