Today, Tuesday, the Iraqi Football Association announced the draw for the Under-16 League for the 2024/2025 season.
The Federation said in a statement - received by the (INA): “Today, Tuesday, the draw for the (under 16) league was held at the headquarters of the Iraqi football Federation.”
The statement added, “The draw was attended by a member of the Competitions Committee, Omar Muhammad, the Spanish Borja from the Age Groups Department (LaLiga League), Shihab Ahmed, Sabah Nour El-Din, Youssef Ibrahim, and Saad Ahmed from the Competitions Committee, Zia Shadrak, Director of Registration, and Sadiq Amin Douai, Coordinator from the LaLiga League.” .
He continued, “Representatives of (28) Iraqi Stars league and Premier League clubs participated in the draw, and the (28) teams were divided into four groups, taking into account the geographical regions of each participating club.”
The statement continued, “The first group included teams (Al-Karkh, Al-Talaba, Al-Naft, Diyala, al-Zawraa, Al-Sina’a, Al-Kadhimiya, and the Baghdad Municipality), while the second consisted of teams (Air Force, Borders, Electricity, karma, Police, Golan, Electrical Industries, and Communications), while the third group included teams (Najaf, al-Qasim, Karbala, Al-Mina, and Southern Refineries.” Maysan Oil and Basra Oil), while the fourth group included the teams (Erbil and Newroz). And the peshmerga,Dohuk and Zakho).”
