How does the lineup for Openair St. Gallen 2025 compare to previous years?
Interview: The Future of Openair St. Gallen 2025
Editor (Time.news): Good evening, everyone, and welcome to our special feature on the highly anticipated Openair St. Gallen 2025! I’m thrilled to have with us today music festival expert, [Expert Name], who has an extensive background in festival curation and music industry trends.Thank you for joining us.
Expert: Thank you for having me! I’m excited to discuss the upcoming Openair st. Gallen and what it has in store for festival-goers.
editor: Let’s dive right in! The lineup for Openair St. Gallen 2025 has just been announced, featuring some exciting acts. We have headline names like Kings of Leon and AnnenMayKantereit. What stands out to you about this initial lineup?
Expert: It’s a solid mix! Kings of Leon is a fantastic choice for a headline act; thier energy and massive hits like “Sex on Fire” are bound to attract a large crowd. AnnenMayKantereit also brings a unique flavor with their soulful sound, wich should resonate well with festival attendees. the variety in genres here—from rock to pop and rap—suggests that there’s a little something for everyone.
Editor: Absolutely! The Press Release mentions that there will be a total of 70 artists with 39 already revealed. How vital is that variety in keeping festival audiences engaged?
Expert: It’s crucial! festivals are all about the experience and revelation. When you have such a diverse lineup, you’re not just catering to a single demographic; you’re inviting different tastes and preferences. this helps create a vibrant atmosphere that encourages festival-goers to explore and discover new music outside of their usual preferences. It’s also a fantastic way to cultivate a broader community around the festival.
Editor: Speaking of diversity, artists like Ski Aggu and Pashanim are becoming increasingly popular. What does their presence at the festival signal about the current state of the music scene?
Expert: Ski aggu and Pashanim represent the rise of new genres, especially within the rap and hip-hop space. Their styles are fresh and energetic, appealing to younger audiences. Including artists like them in the lineup is a strategic move, indicating that Openair St. Gallen is not only aware of evolving trends, but they are also committed to showcasing emerging talents alongside well-established artists. It shows that they’re tapping into the pulse of today’s youth culture.
editor: That’s an interesting perspective! As someone who has seen many festivals evolve over the years, how important is it for festivals to adapt and stay relevant?
Expert: It’s essential. The music industry and audience preferences are always changing. Festivals that don’t evolve risk becoming stale and losing their audience. Adapting means not only bringing in new artists but also engaging attendees through experiences, technology, and sustainability practices. This year, for example, they’ve positioned ticket sales starting at 109 francs, making it accessible for a broader audience, which is a smart move.
Editor: with ticket sales beginning just a few days away, what advice would you give to potential attendees eager to snag those passes?
Expert: I’d say act quickly! Festivals often sell out quickly, especially with lineups like this one. Additionally, consider planning your schedule in advance around the artists you want to see. This way, you can maximize your experience and not miss out on any performances you’re looking forward to. Lastly, don’t underestimate the smaller acts; some of the most memorable performances can come from lesser-known artists.
Editor: Fantastic advice! Before we wrap up, is there anything specific you’re personally looking forward to at Openair St.Gallen 2025?
Expert: Definitely! I’m particularly excited about the dynamic between the different genres. Kings of Leon and Ski Aggu performing on the same stage will provide such a contrasting yet enriching experience. Plus, I am curious to see how the festival integrates new technologies or experiences that engage attendees, making it not just a music festival, but an interactive event.
Editor: Thank you so much for sharing your insights, [Expert Name]. It’s clear that Openair St. Gallen 2025 has a lot to offer, and we can’t wait to see how it all unfolds. We appreciate you joining us today!
Expert: Thank you for having me! I’m looking forward to a fantastic festival season ahead.
