Doctor’s Day 2024: With a great call, doctors from O’Higgins celebrated their day

As is traditional, Doctor’s⁣ Day is celebrated every​ December 3, and this time, the celebration started in‌ November.

on ​Friday, November 15, ⁣a tribute ‌to the ‍doctors was ⁣held ​to celebrate ⁣50 years of the medical profession.Well-known and prominent doctors, who during ⁣this period of time managed to earn the respect of ⁤their peers and ⁤the affection of the many patients who helped relieve⁢ their ‍pain.

The O’Higgins Regional Council Board of Directors honored‍ the Dr. María Victoria Mella, Dr. juan Toro Gallardo, Dr.‍ Patricio Jiménez and ⁢Dr. Luciano ⁢Marisio Valdés.

In this vital ⁢ceremony, however, prizes were awarded‌ to doctors who stood out during the year in different situations, whether in health issues or in matters related to the support and development of extra-curricular activities, such as art ​or sport:

-Dr. Mirta Tapia: A medical anesthesiologist by profession, who heads ⁣the new Human Rights department of⁢ COLMED O’higgins in 2019. This work was very necesary, after the events of the social outbreak​ and then⁢ during the pandemic.

-Dr. Rodrigo Aravena and Dr. ‌Carlos Guerrero Chavez: For his participation in the ‍World Medical Games (Medigames ​2024),held in France,winning a bronze ⁣medal in‌ mountain biking,and first place in the Seniors category in the⁣ Golf competition,respectively.

– Red Moon: 7th year ​medical student at Uighur University, for the ‍best‌ average of his generation.

-Cristobal​ Soto: First year medical student at O’Higgins University, for his participation with a story in⁤ the National Conference of ⁤medical Writers of Chile XXV, an activity that took place in pucón.

Likewise, the Sports Department of this Council, as part of the Doctor’s Day celebrations,​ gave⁤ the members and their families a ‌trip to the Tipaume‍ Reserve, located in the ​commune of Rengo, with a high attendance, where they could enjoy‍ walks⁢ and bikes to take from nature and lunch friendship.

The climax of this celebration was the traditional members’ ‍party on‌ November 29, where they enjoyed a night of comedy, gifts and many surprises. On the occasion we went with the Vice President of the⁤ Medical College of Chile, Dr. Iván Mendoza, who commented on the agreements and the work done by ⁣the​ National Board of Directors this year.

For her, the president of Colmed O’Higgins, Dr.Sonia Correa,the trust of the doctors ‍in this guide ‍and she‍ also thanked for the high ​level of attendance for the various activities carried out during‍ the year and especially those carried out by the Council. In addition, the award ⁤was given to ‍ Dr. Magali ‌Pachecowho will⁢ receive the ⁤highest distinction granted ‌by the association: Honorary Decoration of the medical Order of the medical College of Chile. A medical‌ surgeon with a professional career and a well-known‍ trade union,president of this Regional Council for three terms and vice-president of the​ National Council for two terms,a matter of pride for the union,and also for the region.
