The number of infections is increasing worldwide, in France and in schools. According to figures published by the Ministry of National Education in its weekly update, 52,669 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed among students over the last seven days, against 40,493 a week ago.
In the figures of the ministry “based on the voluntary declaration of the interested parties”, we also find that of the teachers: 6,199 cases were recorded during the past week among the staff of the National Education.
In turn, this increase in cases has led to further class closures. According to government data, as of Thursday at 1 p.m., 3,184 classes closed this week out of the 517,464 in the territory. Only 2,693 had closed last week.
