The head of Government, Clara Brugadaassured that he trusts the time of the Citizen Judicial Council to designate the election shortlist of or the new prosecutor of the Mexico City.
After the suspension of the election of the shortlist to designate the new head of the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City, the capital’s president said, in response to an express question from 24 HOURS, that it is not that things are stopped or without being clear, but rather the citizen Judicial Council is in charge of verifying that they comply with the requirements established by law.
“I am confident because it is a council that will guarantee that the definitions it makes are in accordance with the law and guarantee the best of its work,” said Brugada.
Likewise,the former mayor of Iztapalapa said that said Council has one of the most important tasks,which is to carry out a very rigorous process,whose times must be respected,since it is in charge of reviewing the requirements,the documentation in a very strict manner,and carry out in-depth and exhaustive interviews with the participants.
“We are clear that a maximum trust control is also being carried out for the applicants themselves and that is why we are going to respect this process,” Brugada added.
she said she is sure that the Council will soon provide facts on when it has the conditions to continue the election process to designate the new head of the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office.
