The former model ‍was a guest on‍ the show⁢ “Studio 4″ ⁤and first,he referred to his family,which he described as ⁢”tough”.

“My⁣ father was a military man. A tough environment. Very⁤ tight schedule, we didn’t watch ⁤TV, we weren’t allowed to go out. ⁤It was all very predictable. And ‍as we lived far from the centre of Athens,in Kifissia,it​ was very difficult to go out. It’s not ‍like you went ⁣down the⁤ street and ⁤found other people ‌and went on a trip.” he explained.

Than he added: “The ‍environment was humming,so I never felt like I was rebelling against anything,because I was just looking for oxygen. I left for Paris with a loan from ‌a⁢ friend. I was 22 at the time.”
Regarding his difficulties which ‌played a role later in his career, he mentioned ⁣that​ no ⁢one from his environment ever recognized him.

“They didn’t tell me I was handsome. fortunately, I lived in an environment where they didn’t tell ‌me that. I thank my school ‌and my family for two things. There is no knowledge of‌ the importance of money and​ nothing to do with appearance. No⁢ one told me I was lovely. We are talking about 40 years ago. It didn’t really put me off big deals, because‍ you’re in a space where everyone is cool anyway.When you model, everyone is ⁤beautiful.” he said in closing.
