Some caste organizations are intimidating the theater owners by not allowing the thief movie released today (18.03.2022) directed by Chandra Thankaraj, produced by Ezetra Entertainment.
The case was dismissed following a lawsuit filed by these caste organizations in the court that the word ‘thief’ should not be used as a title. In this situation, the film crew met the press condemning the action taken by the caste organizations to prevent the screening of the thief film in defiance of the court order.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Chandra Thankaraj said, “The Chief Minister should take stern action to prevent the domination of caste organizations in the Periyar soil where good governance is taking place.” Also, the Tamil word thief refers to thieves. He clarified that he had put the word thief as the title as there were already pictures with names like thief and thief.
