Fruits became cheaper on the exchanges in our country this week as well, but basic foods and some vegetables went up in price, according to the data in the weekly bulletin of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT).
The market price index (CPI), which reflects the movement of wholesale food prices in Bulgaria, rose by 0.64 percent to 2,197 points during the week. Last week the ITC was at the level of 2.183 points. The base level of the ITC – 1,000 points – is from 2005.
Greenhouse tomatoes rose in price by 5.5 percent and were traded at BGN 3.84 per kilogram, while greenhouse cucumbers became cheaper by 3 percent to BGN 3.15 per kilogram.
Ripe onions are more expensive by 0.7 percent to BGN 1.14 per kilogram. The price of lettuce jumped by 6.2 percent to BGN 1.16 per piece,and that of carrots by 1.7 percent to BGN 1.18 per kilogram. There is a decrease in the price of ripe garlic – by 2 percent to BGN 5.75 per kilogram, potatoes – by 2.9 percent to BGN 1.20 per kilogram, and cabbage – by 3.6 percent to BGN 1. BGN 29 per kilogram.
As for fruits, oranges became cheaper by 4.1 percent and are available at BGN 2.08 per kilogram, and tangerines - by 1.7 percent to BGN 2.38 per kilogram. Grapefruits fell by 1.3 percent to BGN 2.32 per kilogram, and bananas by 0.2 percent to BGN 2.66 per kilogram. Apples are also down – by 0.9 percent to BGN 1.70 per kilogram. Of the fruits, only lemons rose in price – by 2.7 percent to BGN 2.32 per kilogram.
The price of cowS cheese rose by 1.2 percent to BGN 11.64 per kilogram, while Vitosha type cheese became cheaper by a minimum of 0.3 percent and is available at BGN 17.26 per kilogram.
Yogurt (3 and over 3 percent fat content) falls by 1.9 percent and is bought at BGN 1.26 for a 400 g bucket, and fresh milk (3 percent fat content) – by 2.6 percent to 2. BGN 36 per liter.
The price of chicken meat rose by 0.9 percent to BGN 6.42 per kilogram, and that of eggs (size M) – by 2.9 percent to BGN 0.35 per piece wholesale.
Rice went up in price by 2.3 percent and reached BGN 3.44 per kilogram. Lentils are cheaper by 0.5 percent and are 4.44 BGN per kilogram, and mature beans are 0.5 percent cheaper and are traded at 4.42 BGN per kilogram.
the price of oil rose by 4.8 percent to BGN 3.26 per liter, and flour type 500 – by 4.4 percent to BGN 1.37 per kilogram. Sugar is up by 2.8 percent and is available at BGN 1.99 per kilogram. Cow butter (packet of 125 grams) becomes cheaper by 0.2 percent to BGN 3.03 per unit.
