Al Duhail’s goals were scored by Edmilson Jr. in the 6th minute, Mikhail Olunga in the 18th minute, captain Al Moiz Ali in the 52nd minute, Ferjani Sassi in the 58th minute and Abdulrahman Mustafa in the 85th minute. Ahmed Alaidin scored the consolation goal for Al Gharafa in the 53rd minute.
Al Duhail also won the Amir Cup in 2016, 2018 and 2019. Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani presented the trophy and gold medal to the winners. FIFA President Gianni Infantino and heads of various Arab and international sports associations and diplomats attended the match.
