When the past catches up with you.
Actually, she did everything right in life: Scarlett Johansson (37) is one of the most successful Hollywood actresses, beautiful, happily married and mother of two children – daughter Rose (7) and seven-month-old son Cosmo.
But there is one thing in her life that she deeply regrets: she smoked as a teenager – which she is now totally embarrassed about and which she definitely does not want her daughter to find out about.
“I smoked when I was younger and I’m so ashamed. I just don’t want her to think I ever thought it was cool because she can never, ever, ever smoke,” she revealed on The Drew Barrymore Show.

Will her daughter later be able to keep her hands off cigarettes? At least the little rose has already drilled. “I think my daughter has asked me that before,” she continues in the interview.
But banning their children from smoking is not a solution, because: “That’s how you do it. You forbid your children to do something and then they don’t do it either …” jokes Johansson. So she hopes daughter Rose will never find out about her slip-up.
The problem: your daughter is just at an age where she just wants to know EVERYTHING. In an interview with “InStyle‘ she recently revealed that little Rose keeps pestering her with questions. “Why are you plucking your eyebrows? Why are you curling up your eyelashes? What is a tampon? What is it for?” Johansson said.
So keeping your past smoking a secret might be difficult – especially after the interview…
