Thiruvananthapuram: Five films will be screened in the competition section on Sunday at the 26th edition of the International Film Festival. This will include Sugar & Herons, the Ilgar Najaf film that tells the story of the survival of Afghan women. The first screening of the Malayalam film Nishidho will be held on Sunday.

The first screenings in India of the film Murina and the Turkish film Anatolian Leopard, based on unexpected events in the lives of a Brazilian girl and her father, will also take place on Sunday. I Am Not the River, which portrays the life of Afifa, a girl from Kashmir, will be screened at the Tagore Theater at 3.30 pm.

68 films were screened today. Camila Adini’s Uni, Russian film Captain Vulcanogov Escaped, Tamil film Kozhangal and Argentine film Camila Comes Out to Net will be screened in Abrapalli tomorrow.
