Beijing: Kovid’s death was reported in China for the first time in a year, amid a sharp rise in Kovid. Two Kovid deaths were reported yesterday. Kovid’s death was last reported in China in January 2021.
Both deaths occurred in the northeastern province of Jilin. Currently, the Omicron variety is prevalent in the country. The Chinese government estimates that 4,638 people have died of Kovid in the country so far. Yesterday, 4,051 new cases were reported in China.
