A special worship service was held at the Thoranamalai Murugan Temple near Kadayam on the orders of Panguni. In turn a special anointing of Lord Murugan was held at the temple located on the hill, Deeparadhan. The anointing of the idols with milk, curd and sandalwood took place at the gallery at the foot of the hill. Then a special Diwali was held for Swami. Sami darshan was attended by a large number of devotees at the festival. Alms were given to the devotees. The arrangements for the ceremony were made by the Heritage Trustee Shenbakaraman.
