Those who have completed distance education will not get a teacher’s license in the UAE – NEWS 360 – WORLD

by time news

Abu Dhabi: Holders of distance education certificates will not be eligible for a teacher’s license in the UAE. The obstacle for these certificates is the non-receipt of equality certificates. Teachers’ license can be obtained only if they have passed the Teacher’s License Examination in the UAE and have a certificate of equivalence.

Many people, including Malayalees, who have obtained their bachelor’s and master’s degrees through distance education and continue to be teachers, are fearful of losing their jobs. New teachers must obtain a license within 2 years.

Only regular course certificate holders can now work as teachers. Certificate of Equality was previously mandatory in all emirates except Dubai.
