Three rematch games were held tonight (Saturday) in the National League. In the urban center, Nahariya secured the first place at the end of the regular season with a 73:89 victory over Maccabi Haifa, Netanya achieved 88:89 over Maccabi Ashdod and Raanana defeated Ashkelon 77: 100.

Shai Saglovitch’s team secured home tonight throughout the playoffs, after a light home win over the Greens. The Purples put on a great defensive game, getting back Yogev Ohayon who finished with a double-double. It is quite possible that the two teams will meet in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Maccabi Haifa has a single game left in the final round of the season, and it is hoped that the rest of the results will work out in its favor.

A huge thriller in the Kirya hall, at the end of which Elitzur Netanya came out with the victory and is very close to seventh place. Ruben Neiberger’s team trailed in most stages of the game, but in the last quarter they knew how to make a comeback and Maccabi Ashdod’s two fouls in the last attack left the team from the port city with only 7 wins. The Diamonds, who also tonight were in a lackluster roster, enjoyed 22 points from a second chance compared to only 6 of the home team.
