To investigate these claims going viral on social media, sajag’s team first extracted the keyframes of the video and reverse image searched, then Sajag’s team found a report from Dhaka uploaded on 16 July 2024. According to which the quota system in Bangladesh Common students protested at many places demanding a logical solution. After waiting there for an hour, when it was time for Zohar Namaz, the protesting students stood in a line and offered the obligatory Namaz, while other students standing nearby continued shouting slogans and protesting.
A report related to this matter was also found on a website named probashirdiganta. In which the image related to the viral video was attached. It was written in this report – After the demonstration, when it was time for Johar Namaz, all the students stood in a line and offered Namaz.
conclusion: The claim on social media about religious conversion of Hindus in Bangladesh turned out to be false. During Sajjak’s investigation, this video turned out to be old and these students were Muslims. This video is being shared with false claims.
