The chancellor santiago cafiero became this Sunday the first voice of the Cabinet that publicly admits the extreme tension that exists in the government coalition, after Kirchnerism voted against the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) outlined by President Alberto Fernández with his closest circle of officials.
“Ignoring that the Frente de Todos (FdT) is going through a critical political moment today would be foolish,” stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs in an article he published in The Rocket to the Moon. Through that note, the Foreign Minister – who positioned himself as a “peronist militant”, but who is one of the leaders closest to the President – asked that does not “break” the coalition. “It is necessary that all our leadership seek the mechanisms to resume dialogue and initiative”requested Cafiero, who thus officially exposed the lack of communication between the different terminals of the FdT, something that the spokeswoman had slipped Gabriela Cerruti when he said that Cristina Kirchner did not respond to Fernández’s message about the attack on her office.
