The incident where the lorry caught fire along with the straw due to the electric wire has caused a stir.
A mini truck carrying straw from Elakurichi in Ariyalur district Was going towards the forearm. In this situation, while going near the big Trincomalee Government High School, the power lines went down and hit the straw. Thus the straw has begun to ignite and burn.
The driver, Parthiban, was shocked to see this and parked the mini truck and tried to put out the fire. But the fire spread rapidly everywhere. Upon learning of this, the fire department rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
