In January-October this year, trade transactions worth 5 billion 701 million 706 thousand US dollars were carried out between Azerbaijan and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
As Day.Az reports with reference to the State Customs Committee, this is 496 million 686 thousand dollars or 9.5 percent more than the same period last year.
Trade operations with CIS countries amounted to 32.01 percent of Azerbaijan’s total trade turnover.
Among the CIS countries in the reporting period, trade turnover with Russia amounted to 3 billion 942 million 426 thousand dollars (14.5 percent more than a year earlier), with Belarus – 403 million 960 thousand dollars (47.7 percent more), with Kazakhstan – 393 million 831 thousand dollars (38.7 percent more), with Ukraine – 380 million 145 thousand dollars (up 33.3 percent more), with Turkmenistan – 337 million 715 thousand dollars (52.5 percent less), with Uzbekistan – 196 million 122 thousand dollars (37.2 percent more), with Kyrgyzstan – 33 million 981 thousand dollars ( by 28.7 percent less), with Moldova – 8 million 342 thousand dollars (by 37.02 percent less), with Tajikistan – 5 million 177 thousand dollars (0.11 percent less).
