The India-Australia Bilateral Summit will be held on Monday. Australia will announce an unprecedented investment of Rs 1,500 crore in various sectors in India, according to the Foreign Ministry.

Ahead of today’s video conference between Prime Minister Modi and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Australia said the Quad countries had accepted India’s position on the Ukraine war.

The Quad is a strong consortium of India, Australia, Japan, and the United States.

Australia, Japan and the United States have strongly opposed Russia in the war in Ukraine. In particular, Australia and the United States have imposed severe sanctions on Russia.

But India has taken a different stand against the position of the Quad nations. India has taken a neutral stance, not supporting Ukraine.

India has also boldly decided to buy more oil from Russia.

Thus the quad will no longer stand with India. Or whether the quad system was still alive. But Australia says the Quad countries have accepted India’s position on the Ukraine war.

In an interview with Australian Ambassador to India Barry O’Brien, we respect India’s position. We accept it.

The relationship of all nations does not have to be the same. Each country will have its own foreign policy. Prime Minister Modi has already said that this war should be stopped. He also used his allies to try to stop the war. This is the good thing. Thus, there is no need to oppose India’s position.

In a recent interview with White House spokeswoman Jen Pasaki,

India’s activity is not against US rules. This is not to say that US sanctions are against sanctions. But India should not be left on the wrong side of history. That being said it was significant.
