Jeonnam Province is strengthening its public-private network to make Jeonnam No. 1 in safety. South Jeolla Province decided to strengthen the public-private network to make Jeonnam the No. 1 safety site by holding a public-private cooperation workshop to strengthen disaster management capabilities at Davichi Condo in Boseong for two days until the 13th.

At the workshop, more than 100 people, including public-private cooperation committee members for safety management, members of private organizations, and public officials in charge of disaster and safety from provinces, cities and counties, pledged to strengthen cooperation with private organizations for a rapid response in the event of a large-scale disaster.

The Safety Management Public-Private Cooperation Committee is composed of public officials and private experts in the disaster and safety field in accordance with the ‘Basic Act on Disaster and Safety Management’. We monitor risk factors on a regular basis and engage in disaster cooperation activities such as mobilizing resources, rescuing people, and participating in damage recovery activities when a disaster occurs.

This event began with a special lecture on the disaster management system and disaster preparedness training course, followed by education on preventing traffic fatalities, preventing elevator safety accidents, and understanding facility safety laws and systems. In particular, it was emphasized that before a disaster actually occurs, each entity in the community must build a network to immediately respond to the disaster site by conducting continuous and repetitive training assuming various disasters.

Park Nam-il, head of the Jeollanam-do Social Disaster Department, said, “Disasters are becoming larger and more diverse day by day, so the role of local experts who know the field well is important,” and added, “I salute the activities of the public-private cooperation committee members and members of private organizations. He said, “We will continue to make active efforts to make Jeonnam the No. 1 safe haven where residents can feel safe.”

Meanwhile, Jeollanam-do and Yeongam-gun signed an investment agreement on the 12th with Autocrypt, Asia’s only automobile security certification qualification autonomous driving platform company, to establish a ‘Future Mobility Certification Center’.

The agreement ceremony was held at the headquarters of Autocrypt Co., Ltd. with the participation of Park Chang-hwan, Deputy Governor of South Jeolla Province for Economic Affairs, Min Il-ki, Yeongam County Governor, and Autocrypt CEO Kim Deok-soo.

Autocrypt is the first Asian company in Asia to obtain the European automotive cyber security type approval rating agency (TS) qualification and is the only global company in Asia that collaborates with more than 100 companies around the world.

Through this agreement, Autocrypt Co., Ltd. plans to invest a total of 29.6 billion won in Yeongam to establish a future mobility certification center that provides automobile testing and legal certification services, thereby contributing to revitalizing the local economy by creating jobs and cooperating with overseas professional organizations. .

Jeonnam Province and Yeongam-gun plan to do their best to provide administrative support for the successful investment of Autocrypt Co., Ltd., fostering the future automobile industry, establishing an automobile testing environment, and promoting cooperative education with local universities.

Recently, as regulations on automobile security have been strengthened around the world, demand for automobile software cybersecurity is rapidly increasing. In particular, security regulations have been mandatory for all vehicles sold in Europe since last July. In Korea, security regulations are also being strengthened in preparation for the future car era.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to require cybersecurity management system certification and software update safety management measures for new vehicles sold from August 2025 through the Automobile Management Act, which was revised this year.

Jeonnam Province supports cyber security certification and evaluation of vehicles for export to Europe through the ‘Future Mobility Certification Center’ established by Autocrypt Co., Ltd., and creates a future automobile industry cluster by establishing essential automobile infrastructure and attracting small and medium-sized automobile companies. It is planned to be created.

When this project is completed, a total of 210 billion won is expected to be invested to attract 50 companies, create jobs for 2,200 people, and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.

Deputy Governor Park Chang-hwan said, “Through this agreement, Jeonnam will leap forward as the center of the future automobile industry by establishing core facilities for cybersecurity certification of autonomous and connected cars and compliance with international standards,” adding, “Making full use of Jeonnam’s strengths.” “We will do our best to proactively respond to changes in the global automobile market and kill two birds with one stone: revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs.”
