ROK police have arrested without warrant the head of the military intelligence command, Moon Sang-ho, and his predecessor in that post, Noh Sang-won, on suspicion of participating in a mutiny due to martial law events. This was reported by the Yonhap agency, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.

Moon Sang Ho attracted the interest of law enforcement agencies because members of the Military Intelligence Command arrived at the Central Election Commission building on December 3, two minutes after martial law was declared. The police believe that the general could have known about him in advance and gave the order to send the military.

The South Korean opposition believes that Roh Sang-won, who formerly held the position of Moon Sang-ho, drafted the text of the martial law decree and participated in the preparations. But Sang Won is credited with having a close relationship with former Defense Minister Kim Yong Hyun. According to law enforcement agencies, Kim Yong Hyun was the key executor of the plan. The former defense minister was arrested earlier.

Prior to this, prosecutors arrested the head of the military counterintelligence command, Yo In Hyun, who graduated from the same school with former Minister of Defense and President Yoon Seok Yeol at different times.
