A procession of donations for the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ continues in Boseong-eup, Boseong-gun. Boseong-eup, Boseong-gun, announced that the warm sharing of each institution, organization, and residents is continuing in the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ that started on the 1st.
This campaign is a 62-day intensive fundraising event to help neighbors, and village residents, institutions, and organizations are actively participating and practicing love for their neighbors.
Choi Eui-cheol, CEO of Boseong Cold Warehouse, donated 1 million won, and Lim Tae-geon, CEO of Hanjin Development, donated 300,000 won. The warm support of the local community continues, with residents in Boseong-eup joining together to deliver donations to each village.
Boseong-eup Mayor Kim Ki-seong said, “We sincerely thank everyone who participated in the donation with a warm heart, and your good influence will bring great hope and comfort to our neighbors.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ will be held until January 31st of next year, and the funds raised will be used to support vulnerable groups in Boseong-eup through the Jeollanam-do Community Chest of Korea.
Meanwhile, Boseong-gun announced on the 13th that the Boseong-gun Rural Leaders Association delivered 1 million won in scholarship money to the Boseong-gun Scholarship Foundation from the Boseong-gun Office to foster local talent.
At this scholarship presentation ceremony, Chairman Byeong-jin Jeong (Gyeombaek-myeon) and Secretary-General In-gu Yoon (Boseong-eup) of the Boseong-gun Association of Rural Leaders (hereinafter referred to as the Association) attended on behalf of 695 members.
The scholarship was raised with proceeds earned through collecting empty pesticide bottles with the goal of supporting the sustainable development of agriculture and the growth of local youth.
In cooperation with the Korea Environment Corporation’s Suncheon branch, the association conducts environmental cleanup activities twice a year at the Boseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center. This year, a total of 6,300 kg of agricultural waste is collected, contributing to environmental protection and resource circulation, taking the lead in community development. .
In addition, the Korea Environment Corporation’s Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeju Environment Headquarters and the Jeollanam-do Association jointly held the ‘Agricultural Waste Collection Contest’, which was held from September 11 to November 30, and was recognized for its environmental cleanup activities by receiving an excellence award.
Byeong-jin Jeong, president of the association, said, “I am happy to be able to deliver the profits earned through the participation of members with one mind to local youth.” He added, “The association will continue to lead the way for Boseong, which is full of dreams and hopes.”
A military official said, “Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the association members, we are becoming a great help to the local community and young people. Next year, we will also actively promote the collection of empty bottles and bags of pesticides and make even more efforts to collect agricultural waste intensively.” He said.
The association has been making steady efforts to foster local talent by donating 1 million won in scholarships every year for five consecutive years since 2020.
