A validation workshop to strengthen the national cyber security strategy in light of the digital challenges that threaten security and the economy.
Bujumbura, 10/12/2024 – In line with Burundi’s security and defense policy, the Digital Economy Foundations Support Project (PAFEN) organize a technical workshop to validate the study on the national cyber security strategydeveloped by Deloitte. During this workshop, Mr. Haboubi Sami, Director at Deloittepresented a methodology to assess the maturity of cyber security in Burundi and to identify associated risks.
The main objective is to prioritize these risks to strengthen national security in the face of growing digital threats. PAFEN, funded by 61 million USD [1] in collaboration with the World Bank, it aims to promote digital inclusion and digitization of public services.
Cyber security, essential to this digital transformation, protects IT systems, networks and data from digital threats, and guarantees their confidentiality, integrity and availability.
