Malayalam films are getting good audience support at the 26th International Film Festival in Thiruvananthapuram. In the competition category today, films including Nishidho and Avasavyuham were screened in a packed audience. The 4k edition of Kummati by the immortal genius G Aravindan was well received in the Malayalam film world. The film was screened in the presence of many celebrities including film archaeologist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, director Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Zakaria and Kalpetta Narayanan.

Geo Baby’s Great Indian Kitchen, Kallanottam, Nayat, Avanovilona, ​​Chavittu, Banerghatta and Arkariyam were on display these days. Seven films will be screened in honor of the late actor Nedumudi Venu. 173 films from all over the world will be screened in seven categories. The fair will be held till the 25th of this month. There are seven packages at the fair, including Malayalam Cinema Today, Classic Redemption and Tribute to Nedumudi Venu. It also includes the World Cinema section and Indian Cinema Now. Films from Conflicts is another highlight of the festival. It features films from Afghanistan, Burma and Kurdistan.

26 Malayalam films will be screened at this year’s fair. These include Nishidho and Aavasa Vyuham, and India’s first screening of the 2020 National Award for Best Malayalam Film, Kalla Nottam. Geo Baby’s The Great Indian Kitchen, Martin Prakat’s Hunting, Quote, Avanovilona, ​​Banner Ghatta, Propeta, Chavitt, Sunny, Nirai Parrotted Tree, Arkariyam and Woman with a Movie Camera are some of the films in Malayalam cinema today.
