According to AMAN, control over the Gaza Strip is exercised by two main figures – Mohammed Sinwar and Izz al-Din al-Haddad. They take strict security measures to avoid detection and minimize risks to their safety.
This was reported by the AMAN press service.
According to the Southern Command, the Gaza Strip is controlled by two key figures:
- Mohammed Sinwar, also known as “Abu Ibrahim”, brother of Yahya Sinwar;
- Izz ad-Din al-Haddad, also known as “Abu Suhaib”, commander of the Khan Yunis Brigade and former member of the military council.
It is noted that since the start of the war, they managed to hide from Israeli intelligence and avoid targeted liquidation operations. Sources emphasize that these leaders are using unusual methods to counter the IDF’s actions. In addition, Hamas terrorists have adapted their tactics in response to Israeli operations in the south of the enclave.
It is known that there is disagreement within the security establishment over how much damage Hamas’s military wing has suffered and how effectively it has been rebuilding over the past six months.
Earlier, Cursor wrote that after the end of the war in the Gaza Strip, the possibility of establishing temporary international control is being considered, and there is a possibility that the United Arab Emirates may send its troops to this region. This plan has been actively discussed in recent days in the United States.
The main obstacle to the implementation of this plan is uncertainty about the role of the Palestinian Authority and the personal involvement of its head, Mahmoud Abbas.
