Suwon FC Women coach Park Gil-young renews contract
Suwon FC of the K-League 1 professional soccer league has extended its contract with coach Kim Eun-joong.
Suwon FC announced on the 23rd, “We have agreed to extend the contract with coach Kim Eun-joong, who has proven his outstanding leadership with the club’s highest ever score (5th place) this year, until 2026.”
‘Kim Eun-joong’ Suwon FC recorded 15 wins, 8 draws, and 15 losses (53 points) in the 2024 K League 1 season, achieving the club’s best performance and most points in history.
Coach Kim also announced through DJ Management on the same day, “After sufficient discussion with the club, I have decided to remain with the team,” and “I will do my best for the unity and success of the club.”
Suwon FC also renewed a contract with coach Park Gil-young of the women’s team, Suwon FC Women.
‘Park Gil Young-ho’ Suwon FC Women ranked second in the WK League regular season and then defeated Hwacheon KSPO in the championship game to reach the top. It has been 14 years since Suwon FC Women won the championship.
Choi Soon-ho, general manager of Suwon FC, said, “Coach Kim Eun-joong and coach Park Gil-young have both led Suwon FC to a new leap forward,” adding, “This contract extension is the club’s will to achieve greater goals with the two coaches.”
