jpnn.comJAKARTA – Secretary General (Sekjen) of the National Awakening Party (PKN) Dr Sri Mulyono said that President Prabowo Subianto recently made a surprising statement regarding pardoning corruptors as long as they returned the state money that had been taken.

Forgiveness for corruptors was conveyed by Prabowo from Al Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt.

“President Prabowo has again made an important statement “threatening” to corruptors. “Corruption in Indonesia has so damaged the national and state order that we need more courage to break this vicious circle,” said Sri Mulyono, Friday 20 December 2024.

According to Sri Mulyono, if the corruptors return the proceeds of their corruption to the state, the president promises to forgive, but what if not?

“The campaign to fight corruption and corruptors is indeed a sexy and populist issue. All reform era presidents raised the issue of war on corruption. However, the fact is that corruption is becoming more widespread and bigger. “In other words, the war on corruption is just an illusion or hallucination,” said Sri Mulyono.

This man from Rembang, Central Java added that from year to year corruption continues to thrive in every space and time evenly at every level from the center to the village.

“The campaign or discourse of pardoning corruptors without clear legal regulations will actually give birth to new toys for the “Markus” actors.

“This will also trigger the creation of new, more “sophisticated” dark spaces and to negotiate illegally but safely or securely,” he said.
