Microsoft refused to lower Windows 11 system requirements

Microsoft has announced that it will not remove the requirement for TPM 2.0 to install Windows 11.

As Day.Az reports, XDA drew attention to this.

Media journalists noticed that a post appeared on the company’s blog that explains why installing Windows 11 requires a PC with TPM 2.0. TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is a security technology that allows you to run programs with a high level of security. The company noted that the presence of such technology is a guarantee of the safe and future-proof operation of Windows.

Experts noted that it is impossible to lower the system requirements of current Windows, since TPM isolates cryptographic processes from the central processor and complicates the tasks of attackers to hack a PC. “This level of isolation helps ensure that sensitive information remains protected from potential threats,” the recording states. According to XDA journalists, TPM is considered one of the main obstacles to installing Windows 11 on older PCs.

The corporation’s engineers also stated that TPM 2.0 is the standard for a safe future and its availability is not negotiable. “It is clear that Microsoft will never deviate from its TPM 2.0 standard,” the authors concluded.
