Hyundai and Kia have announced the X-ble Shoulder exoskeleton to increase work efficiency and reduce worker injuries. The device will go on sale in South Korea in the first half of 2025, and then appear in the USA and Europe, reports the Electrek portal, Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.
X-ble Shoulder claims to reduce shoulder stress by 60% and reduce muscle activity by 30%, which is especially helpful when working with raised arms. The device “increases” the strength of the muscles of the upper body and also reduces the load on the musculoskeletal system.
The exoskeleton will be available in two versions: basic and adjustable. The basic version offers up to 2.9 kg of assisted force, while the adjustable model, designed for repetitive tasks, provides up to 3.7 kg of force by adjusting the angle for maximum torque.
Hyundai says exoskeletons can be used in industries such as automotive, aviation, agriculture, construction, logistics and shipbuilding.
In 2025, the X-ble Shoulder exoskeleton will be introduced in 27 branches of Hyundai Motor Group.
