This celebration, placed under the theme “Investments of Moroccans living abroad: Opportunities and Perspectives”, highlighted the efforts made to welcome and support MREs, by encouraging them to contribute to the development of their country of origin, by highlighting the investment opportunities offered to them by their motherland.
The meeting, which was marked by the presence of several civil, military and MRE personalities, aims to promote direct communication between the different administrations, institutions (public and private) and Moroccans around the world, in order to meet their expectations and aspirations.
In an opening statement read by the head of the social action division at the Aïn Chock district prefecture, Hind Hanine, the governor of the Aïn Chock district prefecture, Mounir Hammou, underlined the essential role of MREs in the development of Morocco, as well as the ongoing efforts to offer them appropriate support and assistance in various areas.
In this sense, he explained that the prefecture services take several measures each year to improve the way of dealing and communicating with MREs, through the creation of a special office for monitoring the processing of Moroccans’ affairs. of the world, which is responsible for welcoming them throughout the year, receiving their requests, grievances and proposals.
It also involves the activation of the provincial unit responsible for handling MRE cases, made up of different representatives of external administrative services and the various actors and stakeholders concerned, aiming to study, monitor and quickly resolve MRE cases, he continued.
Mr. Hammou invited all the services concerned to redouble their efforts to simplify and modernize administrative procedures, in order to meet the needs of MREs, and to put in place more resources and initiatives in their favor throughout the year, particularly in terms of supporting investors and project leaders among Moroccans around the world.
On the sidelines of this celebration, stands were set up by various services to present the services and facilities offered to MREs, in addition to a cooperative fair exhibiting local products.
