Former intelligence commander Noh Sang-won, who is considered the mastermind behind the December 3 illegal martial law, was transferred to the prosecution on the 24th. He was imprisoned at the Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, where former Cho Kuk (59), former leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, is imprisoned.
According to the legal community on the 25th, former Commander Noh, who is suspected of insurrection and abuse of power, left the Western Police Station detention center in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul the day before and was transferred to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office for about 30 minutes. He was imprisoned in the Seoul Detention Center after receiving a procedure to confirm that he was the defendant.
The prosecution is expected to summon former Commander Roh for questioning as early as the 26th.
Former Commander Noh’s lawyer said, “Former Commander Noh looked very tired during the interrogation,” and “He said he would take a day off on Christmas, so it looks like he will be questioned tomorrow.”
In the Incheon newspaper, it was reported that there were conversations related to detention center life, including whether or not to be held in solitary confinement.
The special team is also accelerating the investigation related to the ‘2nd Investigation Unit’, in which former Commander Roh is suspected to have been involved.
The special team has booked 2nd Armored Brigade Commander Koo Sam-hoe, Ministry of National Defense Innovation Planning Director Bang Jeong-hwan, and Counterintelligence Agency 1st Director Jeong Seong-wook and notified them to appear before the police for investigation.
Brigadier General Koo was known to be one of the members of the so-called ‘Lotteria 2nd meeting’.
The opposition party, including the Democratic Party of Korea, believes that if martial law was successful and a second investigation team was actually formed, the former brigade commander would have taken over as head of the investigation team.
The 60 to 70-page notebook obtained from former commander Noh Special’s fortune telling shop in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, contains notes such as ‘Inducing North Korea’s attack on the Northern Limit Line (NLL)’ and ‘Blocking the National Assembly’, and lists ‘politicians, journalists, religious people, unions, judges, and civil servants’ as ‘targets for collection.’ It is known that it contains a phrase expressed as ‘.
According to the police, some of them had their real names listed, and the word ‘killed’ was also mentioned in the reference to accommodation and processing methods.
