The Ozon marketplace has reduced the cost of delivery of orders for customers in Azerbaijan. Now the cost of delivery both to the point of issue and by courier is fixed and amounts to 1.99 manats. Previously, the delivery price depended on the weight of the goods and ranged from 3.21 manats per order weighing 100 grams when delivered to a pickup point and from 5 manats when delivered by courier.
“We see the active growth of e-commerce in Azerbaijan and see great prospects for our development in the country. Our goal is to provide residents of Azerbaijan with a convenient platform for profitable purchases of any goods with fast and comfortable delivery. We will continue to invest in expanding our product range, IT platform and developing logistics infrastructure in the country“– said Alexey Sapon, director of operations and development of Ozon in the CIS.
Ozon has been operating in Azerbaijan since August 2024. The average delivery time for goods to the republic is about two weeks. More than 100 million products are available on the ozon.com storefront in various categories – from household goods and household appliances to toys and clothing. Marketplace buyers can receive their orders at the pickup points of partners ASE (UNI) and GBS Export, as well as by courier delivery to Unitrade.
In the future, Ozon plans to develop the logistics infrastructure in the country – warehouse complexes, its own delivery service and a network of branded points for receiving and issuing orders under a franchise. The marketplace also plans to attract local entrepreneurs to sell on Ozon.
Ozon is a multi-category marketplace with a developed logistics network. The site features more than 370 million product items in more than 20 categories: from books and clothing to food and health products. 53.5 million active buyers are already receiving orders using Ozon’s developed logistics infrastructure, which also allows more than 550 thousand entrepreneurs to sell their goods in Russia and the CIS countries.
