For many, “Three Hazelnuts for cinderella” is a Christmas essential. Though, much has changed as its premiere in 1973, including Pavel Trávníček.

The story would be incomplete without the charming Prince, portrayed by the then 23-year-old Czech actor pavel Trávníček, who captivated not only Cinderella and her stepsister but also countless viewers at home.
Following the 1973 classic, Trávníček reprised his role as a prince in several other fairy tale films, including “Snow White and rose Red” in 1979 and ”The Third Prince” in 1982, where he once again appeared alongside Cinderella actress Libuše Šafránková.
Pavel Trávníček, the beloved star of the classic fairy tale film “Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel,” continues to captivate audiences even at 74, despite stepping back from theater performances. Known for his roles in various productions, including the 2018 satire “Der große Rudolph,” Trávníček has also lent his voice to Hollywood icons like Alec Baldwin and Jeff Goldblum. In a recent interview, he expressed no plans for retirement, focusing instead on television projects and hosting events. Off-screen, Trávníček has embraced family life, welcoming his third child with his fourth wife, Monika, in 2016. As he shares glimpses of his personal life on Instagram,the enduring legacy of “Aschenbrödel” remains a source of pride,with Trávníček reflecting on the film’s unexpected,lasting success over the decades.
