Selected as the best 5 of the Kblemong team led by coach Jeon Hee-cheol
All-Star Game will be held at Sajik Gymnasium in Busan on January 19th next year.
The best star brothers in professional basketball, Heo Woong (Busan KCC) and Heo Hoon (Suwon KT), will work together on the same team in the All-Star Game.
The Korea Basketball League (KBL) announced the results of the 2024-2025 KCC Professional Basketball All-Star Game team composition on the 24th.
Seoul SK coach Jeon Hee-cheol of the Kblemong team and Ulsan Hyundai Mobis coach Cho Dong-hyeon of the Gong-Aji team formed the squad themselves.
In accordance with the changed selection method starting this season, 20 All-Stars were selected through fan voting and player voting. In addition, a total of four players, including Jamil Warney, Youngjun Ahn (SK), Nakhyeon Kim (Daegu Korea Gas Corporation), and Sean Long (Hyundai Mobis), were selected as players recommended by the coach.
Afterwards, Coach Jeon and Coach Cho conducted a draft with 24 players.
As a result of the draft, the best five members of the Kblemong team were Heo Woong, Heo Hoon, Yoo Yu-sang (Changwon LG), Ahn Young-jun, and Jamil Warney. The Gong-Aji team’s best 5 consists of Byun Jun-hyung (Anyang Cheongkwanjang), Lee Jeong-hyeon (Goyang Sono), Lee Woo-seok (Hyundai Mobis), Choi Jun-yong (KCC), and Sean Long.
What stands out most is that Heo Woong and Heo Hoon played together for the first time. The two have never been on the same team on the professional stage, and they have not worn the same uniform in event games such as the All-Star Game.
The coaching staff for the All-Star game has also been confirmed. Coach Jeon selected KT coach Park Jong-cheon and KCC coach Shin Myeong-ho as coaches for the Cblemont team, and coach Cho selected Korea Gas Corporation coach Kim Sang-young and Wonju DB coach Lee Gwang-jae as coaches for the Gong-Aji team.
This professional basketball all-star game will be held at the Sajik Indoor Stadium in Busan on January 19, 2025, and contest participants will be announced later.
