BOLZANO. As of October 31st 2,366 users took advantage of the Urban Pass Bolzano in 2024, benefiting from aexemption from paying the A22 toll on the route between the motorway entrances of Bolzano Nord and Bolzano Sud and vice versa on weekdays from 7.00 to 9.00 and from 16.00 to 19.00.
The “Urban Pass Bolzano” initiative is the result of an agreement signed between the Province of Bolzano and the Brenner Motorway, stipulated for the first time in 2023 and extended in 2024.
Provincial councilor Peter Brunner recently signed the agreement on the renewal of the Urban Pass for 2025. Part of the traffic passing through the city of Bolzano will thus be able to be diverted onto the Brenner motorway: “The Urban Pass offers advantages for the population of Bolzano. It reduces traffic along the Arginale road in Bolzano and on Via Galileo Galilei, helping to improve air quality in some areas of the city”, recalled Brunner.
For already registered users, the exemption will automatically be extended by one year. New users can request toll exemption for another year. The requirement is that they possess a electronic toll collection device.
