The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) alerted the population to go to a doctor for symptoms of Christmas depression, which could appear when suffering from December Syndrome

Dr. Rossana Castañeda Mendoza, attached to the Psychiatry Hospital with Family Medicine Unit No. 10, indicated that around Christmas and New Year, are the periods in which depression is most experienced, considered a serious mood disorder. .
The specialist added that such depression can cause mental suffering and should not be ignored as a temporary state, as it must be treated by specialists in a timely manner.
