This initiative, organized in collaboration with the municipality of Mirleft and local associations, aims to raise awareness among children at summer camps of the dangers of plastic pollution and the importance of preserving marine biodiversity.
This campaign targeted a group of children, brought together in several environmental awareness workshops focusing mainly on the dangers of plastic and marine fishing waste, the importance of waste sorting, the protection of marine biodiversity and recycling of plastic waste.
These children also benefited from marine diving lessons and drawing workshops.
In a statement to MAP, Ayoub Achbarou, head of the Mohammed VI Foundation for environmental protection, indicated that the choice of Im Ntagra beach to host the activities of the fifth edition of the #B7ar Bla campaign Plastic 2024 is motivated by the fact that this beach is one of the most beautiful in the Kingdom in terms of sand and water quality, in addition to being labeled Blue Flag.
He highlighted that this year’s edition has set a target of 2 million children to raise awareness as well as the creation of a network between cooperatives specializing in plastic recycling, specifying that the program of this campaign includes the organization of workshops for the benefit of children and young people to raise their awareness of the dangers of plastic pollution.
For his part, Ismail Boughor, director of beaches in the municipality of Mirleft, indicated that this environmental campaign aims to raise awareness among young people and children of the importance of preserving the environment and the dangers of plastic and waste.
