jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) regrets the PDIP’s attitude in rejecting the 12% VAT policy even though it was previously involved in the working committee (panja) of the Tax Regulation Harmonization Law (HPP). In fact, the Chair of the HPP Law Working Committee comes from PDIP.
“We really regret PDIP’s attitude. Look at the digital footprint, PDIP was the proponent and involved in the HPP Law working committee. Even the Chair of the PDIP Working Committee. If now they refuse, what is it called? Yes, heroes oversleep,” said PSI I spokesperson Putu Yoga Saputra in written statement, Monday (23/12).
The 12% VAT has been mandated by law. If it is not implemented, it will actually violate the law and invite social risks.
“This increase is beneficial in the long term in terms of increasing state revenue to finance a number of things, including social welfare programs. “In the end it will return to the people,” said Yoga.
One other thing, the PDIP faction is the largest faction in the DPR RI. They can really direct the discussion of a law.
“If they are not in parliament or in small factions, fine. PDIP is the largest faction in the DPR. “There is no record at all that they refused during the discussion,” concluded Yoga. (dil/jpnn)
