The region of Dakhla Oued Eddahab occupies a special place within this Forum, through a stand of more than 80m2 which highlights the solutions proposed by the southern provinces of the Kingdom, as well as the investment opportunities available to them. .
“Our presence at this major meeting testifies to the importance assigned to Dakhla at the global level in the fields of renewable energies and carbon neutrality,” indicated the president of the Council of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, El Khattat Yanja, specifying that the role of the region is expected to grow, particularly after the completion of the Atlantic port.
Dakhla, which will also be a central player in green hydrogen, is predisposed to being a preferred destination for investors, assured Mr. Yanja in a statement to MAP.
In addition, the region is endowed with natural assets which already make it a hub for wind and solar energy, he stressed, noting that thanks to the development model for the Southern Provinces, launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Dakhla Oued Eddahab can only establish himself as a producer and exporter of clean energy.
“Through our stand, we help foreign investors discover the full potential of the region and its capacity to meet the challenges of decarbonization,” added Mr. Yanja, who notably exchanged at the region’s stand with the president of the Forum, Conservative MP Liam Fox.
