Let’s meet the new Italy!
A unique trip to Italy led by an Italian nationally certified guide! The final journey is Tuscany. In Val d’Orcia, located in the south, enjoy the panoramic view of endless plains, hills, and picturesque cypress trees.
We experienced the Agriturismo culture by spending a night at a simple farmhouse, and then headed to Florence, the capital of Tuscany. The Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, located in the center of Florence, is the pride of the city and a great masterpiece of the Renaissance era. We visit the ‘Restaurants with a view of the cathedral’ that the curator pointed out, and capture with our own eyes the beautiful sight called ‘Florence’s flower.’ The Duomo in Florence went through many twists and turns before its completion. The history of efforts to build a dome, which was difficult to implement at the time, can be seen at the Duomo Museum (Museo dell’Opera del Duomo). Lampredotto, a tripe burger that was enjoyed by cathedral construction workers at the time, is now loved as a must-try dessert in Florence.
An interesting sight to see while walking through an alley in Florence: people buying wine through a small door on a building?! Buchette del Vino, meaning ‘wine window’, is humanity’s first non-face-to-face means of preventing infection during the Middle Ages when the Black Death was rampant.
At Gallerie Degli Uffizi and Piazza della Signoria, you can meet the most important figures in Florence’s history and mythological figures, including Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Dante. The entire Italian itinerary ends with a trip to Tuscany, where the simple pleasures of life, the scent of great art, and the wonderful nature coexist.
