Mumbai: Former India opener and commentator Aakash Chopra has predicted that Devdutt Padikkal will be the highest run scorer for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2022 IPL season.
The 21-year-old Devdat was picked for the Rajasthan team for Rs 7.75 crore in a direct bid to Mumbai Indians. Devdutt has scored 884 runs in 29 matches in his IPL career. Chopra said the Rajasthan Royals’ bowling line-up was strong and that Devdutt should open the innings with the successful Jaiswal and that Jose Butler should play in the middle order.
